1) Have it in a Smoothie

  • What are amino acids?

    When you consume protein, your body breaks it down into Amino Acids. These Amino Acids provide your body with the building blocks required to make new proteins such as muscle tissue, skin, hair and nails. 

  • What is the difference between BCAA’s and EAA’s?

    BCAA’s are a set of three Branched Chain Amino Acids (Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine). Studies suggest that these particular Amino Acids are important in reducing fatigue when exercising and increasing and maintaining anabolism (the state of building muscle). EAA’s or Essential Amino Acids are nine Amino Acids that the body can’t make itself and include BCAA’s within them. In short, EAA’s are the 'full spectrum’ of amino acids and cover all bases whilst BCAA’s are the specific Amino Acids which have been widely studied when it comes to fitness and exercise. 

  • When should I use BCAA’s?

    We would typically recommend using BCAA’s just prior to your workout or immediately post workout.

  • When should I use EAA’s?

    We would typically recommend using EAA’s intra-workout (whilst you are working out). We also include CocoMineral® (a natural electrolyte) in our EAA blend which can help to replenish electrolytes lost through sweat during exercise. CocoMineral® is low in fat and high in carbohydrates, meaning it is ideal for replenishing glycogen stores post workout.

  • Should I take BCAA’s every day?

    Healthy adults can use BCAA’s and EAA’s every day. In fact, research has shown that longer term intake (over one week) is more effective than shorter term intake (less than one week)

  • Do BCAA’s make you gain weight?

    BCAA’s and EAA’s are very low in calories. A single serving of MYO’s BCAA’s contains less than 6 calories and EAA’s 7 calories which means that they can play a part in almost any diet plan.

  • Are BCAA’s vegan?
